About
Michelle Tiana is a visual artist whose practice explores love, connection, and the subtle space where energy becomes form. American-born and creatively shaped during thirteen formative years in Luton, UK, she developed her artistic voice before returning to the United States, where she has continued to evolve her work over the past decade.
She holds a BTEC in Art & Design from Luton Sixth Form College, grounding her practice in both formal study and intuitive inquiry. Her work moves fluidly between disciplines, informed by experience across painting, design, digital platforms, and tattoo art—each medium offering a different language through which to explore expression and embodiment.
Michelle’s work is driven by an interest in emotional resonance and self-discovery. Through playful compositions and vibrant, expressive color, she creates pieces that invite reflection and intimacy, encouraging viewers to reconnect with feeling as a form of knowledge. Her practice remains intentionally open-ended, embracing experimentation as a vital force in the continual shaping of her visual identity.
Alongside her studio work, Michelle has built and developed multiple websites and runs an online thrift platform, integrating creativity with entrepreneurship and digital space. This intersection of art, design, and self-directed practice informs a multidisciplinary approach rooted in independence and adaptability.
Her work has been commissioned for comedy shows and small businesses, while her personal projects often draw from spirituality and intuitive processes, allowing art to become both exploration and ritual. Influenced by artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Tracey Emin, and Frida Kahlo, Michelle’s practice balances softness with intensity—seeking honesty, vulnerability, and presence in every piece.
Michelle Tiana continues to expand her artistic language, creating work that is less about fixed answers and more about the unfolding journey of connection, love, and becoming.
